In this article, we have listed out Types of Gas Suppression System (GSS) Package Testing and Commissioning on factories and Sites for construction works and Test Instrumentation Required/Considered for Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

Following are the Building Management Systems that shall be carried out in construction works

 

T&C Requirement Compliance Sheet Required for Gas Suppression System (GSS) Package

1. Physical inspection and specs. Verification - This has to be carried out as per the pre-Cx check sheet given in the commissioning plan/method statement.

 

2. Nitrogen Pressure Test - Post installation of piping works, a Pressure test must be done as per the commissioning plan/method statement.

 

3. Room Integrity test - Post completion of all civil works and installation of all other services room must be positively & negatively pressurized and tested with room integrity test equipment setup. Leakage should not be observed more than the calculated permissible leakage as per O&M.

 

4. Verification of GSS system Smoke detector - The smoke detection system has to be checked as per the designed logic or Cause & effect matrix.

 

5. Verification of Abort switch / Manual Release Switch - While verifying this switch ensure the solenoid actuator is kept disconnected from the cylinders.

 

6. Integration of Solenoid Actuators & smoke detection system - While verifying the integration of Solenoid actuators and the smoke detection system, the actuator must be kept disconnected from cylinders. Verify the programming as per Cause & effect matrix.

 

7. Integration of GSS Fire Panel with Main Fire Panel and BMS system - Verify any Alarm or fault on the GSS fire panel to be indicated on the Main Fire Panel. Verify the monitoring of GSS in the BMS system as per the I/O summary.

1. True RMS Multi-meter - 1 No.      

2. Pressure Gauges - 1 No.

3. Room Integrated Test kit - 1 No.  

4. Aerosol Spray - 1 No.
