What Is Material Inspection Report? | Construction MIR format download | MIR format

The Material Inspection Receiving Report provides you information about incoming material inspection at the Construction site and controls all incoming materials for construction.

As soon as equipment and material are delivered at a construction site, the receiving inspection must be performed by the site engineer/Project head/HOD/Storekeeper using the material inspection report.

If any deviation in make list, technical deviation, loss, damage, or quality faults are found, a Shortage/Damage or Non-conformity Report shall be made and reported to the shop/site manager using a Shortage/Damage or Nonconformity Report

 

The material inspection report should contain the following information:

1.  Date of Delivery

2.  Item   

3.  Brief Spec of the item as per WO/PO (Make, Model, Size, Etc

4.  Spec of Item actually received

5.  Qty    

6.  Accepted/Accepted with Technical Deviation/Rejected

7.  Reason When Material Accepted by with technical deviation/Rejected  

8.  Inspection plan

9.  Project Name:

10.     PO & WO number

11.     Vendor/Supplier/Contractor details

12.     MIR no

13.     Signature

14.     Remarks

 

If there is a nonconformity in the received material, the material must be marked. The Quality Control/Inspector shall prepare a nonconformance report showing the cause and recommended corrective action.
