Quality inspection checklist for Electrical works – Installation of wiring

Item of Work: Installation of Wiring                                                                

1. Sizes and quality of material as per drawing & specification.

2. Containment (conduits/raceways) provided as per approved layout drawing.                  

3. The maximum no of wires in a conduit is as per spec.                 

4. No joints in the wiring. Joints are allowed only at the switchboards and equipment end.

5. (In unavoidable situations only) connector provided for joint.     

6. Ferrules provided on the wires at switch board, DB, and equipment end                               

7. Merging is done on wires before connecting to the equipment. 

8. Color coding followed as per spec.                             

9. PVC sleeve used for running copper wires through workstations. (Not applicable if sheathed cables are used)

10. Wires/cables bunched properly in raceways.
