EHS AUDIT - Environment, Health, and Safety
The purpose and scope of an EHS audit are to assess potential risks, liabilities and the degree of compliance
with the construction Safety, Health & Environmental plan and its supplementary
procedures and programs against applicable and current EHS legislation
regulations and requirements of the Owner. It will check that:
• Appropriate management arrangements are in place
• Adequate risk control systems exist- that they are
implemented
• Appropriate workplace precautions are in place.
Typical information examined during an EHS audit:
• The organisation's EHS policy
• Risk assessments and safe systems for
work
• Training records
• Minutes of safety meetings
• Maintenance records and logs
Records of EHS monitoring activities.
• First aid facilities and personnel
• Labour welfare facilities.
• Safe movement around the workplace
• General site safety rules compliances.
• Near miss, incident, dangerous occurrences, accident
investigation records and actions.
• Fire and other Emergency arrangements
• Inspection reports from Client/third party.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Records of workers' complaints.
