How to do Rate analysis for Cement Mortar?
The volume of Cement mortar
= 1m³
Cement mortar Mix
Ratio = 1:5
Dry volume of Cement
mortar = Wet volume x 1.33
Dry volume of Cement
mortar/ Ratio of Cement-mortar = 1.0 m³ x 1.33 = 1.33 m³
Quantity of
Cement = ((Dry volume of Cement mortar x Cement ratio) / (total sum of the ratio))
Quantity of cement = (1.33 x 1)/(1+5)= 0.22166m³
Density of
Cement = 1440kg/m³
Weight of Cement =
1440 x 0.22166= 319.1904kg
1 bag of cement
contains 50 kg of cement
No of cement bags = 319.1904 Kg/50 = 6.38 – 7 nos
Therefore,
Cement : Sand -
1:5
Quantity of
Sand = Quantity of Cement x 5
Quantity of Sand = 0.22166m³ x 5= 1.1083 m³
1m³=35.3147 Cubic
Feet (CFT)
Quantity of sand = 1.1083 x 35.3147 = 39.1392 CFT
Density of sand
= 1602kg/m³
Weight of the sand = 1.1083m³x1602kg/m³=
1775.496 kg-1.8 ton
Cost Summary:
Cost of material used
cement mortar mixing = 4628.70/-
Cost of labour used
cement mortar mixing = 809.50/-
Total cost of
labour and material cost = 5438.20/-
Add off-
1.
Water charge @ 1% = (1/100) x 5438.20= 54.382/-
2.
Contractor’s profit @20 % = (20/100)x5438.20= 1087.64
Total cost = 5438.20
+ 54.382 + 1087.64 = 6580.222/-
