What Is The Minimum Thickness of Concrete Footing?
The thickness of the
foundation must be determined by calculating the shear requirement in one-way direction
and in two-way directions. However, the minimum value code is specified for
different types of foundations. The following are two code specifications (ACI
and BNBC) for the minimum thickness value of a concrete footing
Note:
The depth of the footing above the bottom reinforcement must not be less than 300
mm for footings on piles. And 150 mm for footings on ground
