For a given drawing of Pitch Roof find

1. Volume of Concrete

2. Area of Shuttering


PITCH ROOF CALCULATION



c = √(3.52 + 1.02)

c = 3.64 m (inclined length)

 

1. Volume Of Concrete For Each Panel = Area X Thickness Of Slab

= (a/4) x √(4b2 ‐ a2) x t

= (3.5/4) x √(4 x 3.642 ‐ 3.52) x 0.15

= (3.5/4) x 6.383 x 0.15

= 4.175 x 0.15

= 0.83 m3

No. of panels = 6

Total Volume of Concrete required = 0.83 x 6 = 4.98 m3

 

2. Shuttering Area = Peripheral length x thickness of slab + Bottom area of Slab

= 6R x t + slab area

 

Area of each panel = (a/4) x (4b2 ‐ a2)

= (3/4) x √(4 x 3.642 ‐ 3.52)

= (3/4) x 6.38

= 4.787 m2

No. of panels = 6

Slab Area - Total area = 6 x 4.787 = 28.722 m2

 

= 6R x t + slab area

= 6 x 3.5 x 0.15 + 28.722

Shuttering Area = 31.87 m2
