HARDY SLAB CALCULATION | QUANTITY SURVEY | VOLUME OF CONCRETE & AREA OF SHUTTERING
For a given drawing of
Hardy Slab find
1. Volume of Concrete
2. Area of Shuttering
1. Volume of Concrete =
Area x Depth
= L x B x D
= 4.80 x 5.30 x 0.27
= 6.86 m3
Deduction for the Hardy Bricks:
Volume of Hardy Brick = L x B x D x no. of Bricks
= 0.40 x 0.20 x 0.20 x 28
= 0.448 m3
Total Volume of Concrete required = 6.86 ‐ 0.448
= 6.412 m3
2. Shuttering Area = Bottom area of Slab
= L x B
= 4.80 x 5.3
= 25.44 m2
