If you going to start a new construction your first taught is on designing the floor plan. So we LCETED suggest you some key point as checklists to tick for having a better result
FLOOR PLAN & DESIGN OF THE HOUSE
Inputs you need to collect from the customer for designing the floor plan of the house
1. Number of bedrooms required, Sizes of Bedroom, Kitchen, Living room & Special Function Rooms
2. Windows and doors to improve ventilation
3. Water Drainage
4. Facing direction of the house
5. Setback they need
6. Car-parking area they need
7. Vastu (if it's necessary)
Now after designing the floor plan. Your next move will be the discussion on the budget. And this is a very important phase on starting construction, you really want to discuss with your customer about the details of your package. So we LCETED came up for you some key points
BUDGET
LCETED wants you to ready carefully next few-points that may save you from difficult situations
1. Explain properly about materials that come under your quote)
2. Brand of the materials, they wanted to use (tiles, pipe-fittings, electrical wire etc)
3. Granite or tile they needed to put on the staircase
4. Depth of the bore-well, they need to provide
5. Which type of Electrical phase they prefer (it's important to calculate wire we need)
6. Bathroom fitting that you can provide on your budget
8. Door framework
9. Any other interior work they need to be done on their home
10. Which type of material they want to provide for gate and window (ss 304, ss 404 or ms-steel)

CHECKLIST FOR STARTING THE CONSTRUCTIONS
1. First and prior is to have a permit for all off-site work.
2. Soil test should be done before start designing
3. Approved plans and inspection record to be on the construction site. Modifications on the plan shall be approved by the project manager
4. Site address should be posted, construction progress sign should be placed on the street
5. Protection devices like barricades, fences, guardrails, etc. Must be in placed
6. Site should be cleaned. All trash should be removed
7. Contact the Crane and JCB earthmovers dealers. Make the deal with them. ( for their presence to dig the earth for foundation)
8. Shed should be provided to store the materials like cement, tiles & pipe etc
9. Watch-man should be appointed for the site. If it Is necessary by site placement
